Heavy rain began to fall at Troy's Riddle-Pace Field Saturday, postponing the series to Sunday at noon.

MOUNT PLEASANT — Central Michigan and Troy have postponed today's game until Sunday at noon due to inclement weather.

With the Trojans leading, 8-7, in the bottom of the fifth with the bases loaded and two outs, the umpires pulled both teams off the field due to heavy rain.

The Maroon and Gold were set to play a four games versus the host Trojans over the weekend, but the series will now turn to a three-game set as a third and final game will be played approximately 30 minutes following the completion of Sunday's game one.
