MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Former Central Michigan field hockey goalkeeper and two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection Anastasia Netto has been selected to represent the Trinidad & Tobago Senior National Team at the Pan American Cup later this month.
Netto will travel to Estadio Malvinas, Argentina for the opening of pool play on Saturday, September 21 where Trinidad & Tobago will open the tournament versus host Argentina.
A three-year starter for the Chippewas, Netto was selected to the All-MAC second team in both 2011 and 2012 after finishing both seasons second in the MAC in goals-against average, save percentage and shutouts. She finished her career with 15 career wins and four shutouts.
Each team will play four games in pool play at the Pan American Cup with the top two teams from Pool A and Pool B advancing to the semifinals. The winner of the 2013 Pan American Cup will earn a bid to the 2014 Women's World CUp in The Hague.
