2009-10: All-American ... placed eighth at heavyweight after earning an at-large bid to nationals … won four straight consolation bracket matches to secure All-America honors ... placed third at the MAC Championships … dropped a 4-4 RT TB3 decision to Kent State’s Brendan Barlow in the conference tournament final, then forfeited the true-second match … won 20 straight matches prior to the MAC Championships final, tied for the second longest streak in school history … won five straight matches to claim individual title at Midlands … as the No. 8 seed at Midlands, defeated No. 1 Aaron Anspach (Nittany Lion Wrestling Club) in the quarterfinals, No. 4 Dom Bradley (Missouri) in the semifinals and No. 3 David Zabriskie (Iowa State) in the finals … finished a perfect 5-0 in MAC duals … posted a team-best 18-1 overall dual mark … 4-0 against top-20 opponents ... led team in victories with overall record of 27-5 ... swept freestyle and Greco-Roman titles at 2010 University Nationals ... placed runner-up in freestyle and Greco-Roman at the 2010 University World Team Trials.

2007-08: Redshirted … recipient of program’s Outstanding Freshman Award … competing unattached, placed in the top four at four different tournaments … won four straight matches, including two by fall, to win the Michigan State Open … placed third at the Eastern Michigan Open and Kent State Open … finished fourth at the Cleveland State Open.



High School: Career record of 163-15 … ranked the second-best heavyweight in the nation regardless of class following his senior season by Wrestling USA … named third team All-American by the ASICS as a senior … won the Division 3 state title (heavyweight) as a senior with a 45-0 record and as a junior with a 42-3 record … finished second at the state tournament as a sophomore (39-3) … qualified for the state tournament as a freshman (37-11) … lettered four times in wrestling and football and three times in baseball … named an all-conference first baseman his senior season … twice named his team’s defensive lineman of the year in football … earned all-state accolades in football.
