A fixture in CMU athletics for more than four decades, Marcy was a highly successful volleyball coach from 1974-88 before a touted career in athletics administration... her volleyball teams posted a record of 426-140 (.752) and won four consecutive Division I Michigan state titles from 1977-80... her 1981 team went 54-14, recording the most wins by any CMU team... she also served as the women's basketball coach from 1974-76 and the field hockey mentor from 1972-74... inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000... was a respected NCAA women's basketball official from 1964-84, including working two women's NCAA Division I championship games... served as the national coordinator of NCAA Women's Basketball officiating until 2005... in 2008, became the first female recipient of the National Association of Sport Officials' prestigious Gold Whistle Award... recognized by the NCAA as one of the nine major contributors to the first decade of NCAA women's basketball in 1991... is currently CMU's senior associate athletics director.
