A highly-successful baseball coach who retired from CMU in 1986 as a professor in physical education... served as an assistant coach in football, basketball and baseball for the Chippewas from 1957-62... was head coach for eight baseball seasons, posting a record of 210-91, winning three Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships... became the first CMU coach in any sport to win 200 games... named NAIA District 23 Coach of the Year in 1966 and NCAA regional Coach of the Year in 1970 after leading Central to its best record in school history, 36-4... coached four All-America selections and four Chippewas who played in the majors.
