In addition to Coates, the Chippewas also return senior setter Kelly Maxwell, junior outside hitter Kaitlyn McIntyre, freshman middle blocker Angelique White and senior middle blocker Danielle Gotham.
Defending MAC Tournament champion Bowling Green was picked to win the east division and received four first-place votes along with Ohio as the favorite to win the MAC Tournament at the SPIRE Institute in November.
