Clash at Kelly/Shorts Sold Out
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Tickets for the September 8 Clash at Kelly/Shorts against Michigan State have sold out according to Central Michigan University Athletics officials.

"With the amount of excitement from our fan base we anticipated a capacity crowd and have been planning for such," said director of athletics Dave Heeke. "We have a great home schedule this year and there is a lot for our fans to be excited about. They have really come out in full support for one of the largest games in our history and we will have a record crowd on-hand."

Kelly/Shorts Stadium, the largest on-campus stadium in the Mid-American Conference, has a permanent capacity of 30,255 but will house 32,885 in 2012 as bleachers were added to the student section and suites were installed on the east concourse. Both additions will be in place for the entire seven-game home schedule.

Six-thousand four-hundred tickets were allocated to Michigan State and 10,000 have been reserved for current CMU students, who can have their free ticket digitally loaded onto their valid CMU ID card at one of two events - MAINstage on Sunday, August 26 or the home opener Thursday, August 30. Six-thousand tickets will be made available at MAINstage and a maximum of 4,000 more will be distributed on August 30.

The game will be televised live on ESPNU.

Single-game tickets for the six remaining home games are still available, as are parking passes and tailgating passes for all seven games, by calling Ticket Central at 1-888-FIRE-UP2 (347-3872).

Attendance Record to be Set
The largest crowd inside Kelly/Shorts Stadium was 30,302 on October 18, 2008-a 38-28 win over Western Michigan. The Broncos, who also visit Mount Pleasant this fall, have accounted for eight of the top 10 attendance figures in the stadium's history.
