Head Coach to be Introduced Thursday
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will introduce its head women's golf coach at a press conference Thursday at 1 pm in the CMU Events Center Media Room. Both the head coach and athletics director Dave Heeke will be present to speak, answer questions, and conduct interviews with members of the media.

The CMU Board of Trustees announced on December 6, 2012 the addition of women's golf and lacrosse as NCAA Division I sport programs. Women's golf was last sponsored as a CMU varsity sport in 1982. A complete competition schedule will resume in 2014-15 when CMU will become the 10th Mid-American Conference institution to field a women's golf team.

The Michigan High School Athletics Association recognized 327 girls' golf teams for the 2012-13 season.

Additional information about the history of women's golf at CMU may be found in the "Additional Links" box on all women's golf web pages.
