SEATTLE, Wash. - Central Michigan scored a season-high 195.300 Friday evening, finishing second of three teams at the Washington Tri-Meet.
No. 24 Washington won the meet with a 196.350 while San Jose State finished third with a team score of 194.225.
The Chippewas (12-4) scored a season-high 49.000 on the bars to start the night, getting three scores of 9.8 or better, led by sophomore Brittany Petzold's 9.875, senior Kristin Teubner's season-high 9.850 and junior Kari Dieffenderfer's 9.8.
Teubner continued her stellar streak of performances in rotation two, leading the Chippewas to a team score of 48.675 with her 9.8 on the beam to finish tied for fourth with freshman Halle Moraw.
Freshman Taylor Noonan tied her season-best mark of 9.8 on the floor in rotation three for the Maroon and Gold as each gymnast scored at least a 9.725 for a team score of 48.725.
CMU finished the night on the vault and tied their season-high team score of 48.900 thanks to four scores of 9.8 or better. Moraw and Teubner led the way, each scoring 9.825 to finish tied for fourth, while Petzold and sophomore Meaghan McWhorter each scored 9.8 to finish tied for sixth.
Teubner scored above a 39 in the all-around for the fifth-straight meet, finishing third with a 39.200 behind San Jose State's Thomasina Wallace, who broke her school's all-around record in the meet with a 39.575, and Washington's MacKenzie Fetcher's 39.300.
Petzold just narrowly missed scoring a 39-plus for the third time this season, finishing fifth in the all-around with a 38.975.
The Chippewas continue their west coast trip Sunday at Sacramento State for a quad meet with UC Davis, Seattle Pacific and the host Hornets. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m. EST.
