MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan senior Kristin Teubner has been named Mid-American Conference Co-Gymnast of the Week, the conference office announced Tueday morning.

Teubner continued her stellar streak of performances Friday at No. 24 Washington, scoring a 39.200 in the all-around for her fifth-straight meet of a 39-plus. She scored 9.8 or better in three of the four events to help the Chippewas post a season-best 195.300 to finish behind the Huskies and defeat San Jose State. Teubner posted three more scores of 9.8 or better in Sunday's meet at Sacramento State en route to a 38.700 all-around score.

The award is the third of the season for Teubner and the sixth of her illustrious career. She split the honors with Kent State's Marie Case.

The Chippewas return home for Teubner's final meet inside McGuirk Arena Saturday afternoon when they take on Western Michigan for a chance to earn the outright MAC regular season title. The meet is set for 1 p.m
