Mount Pleasant - The Central Michigan track and field team will be competing in Bulls Invitational at the University of South Florida on March 15.
"The goal that we have right now is starting fresh and new heading into outdoor season," said Director of Track and Field Willie Randolph. "We know that we are a stronger team outdoors because we are strongest in the javelin, discus and 400m hurdles."
Friday's meet will start with field events at 9:30 a.m.,and running events around 2:30 p.m.
The Chippewas will be sending 16 from the women's squad and 14 from the men's to compete in jumps, sprints, hurdles and pole vault.
"We are looking forward to getting the outdoor season started and moving forward," said Randolph.
