Stepped into starting role as a true freshman … enters camp as the frontrunner to handle kickoffs and field goals.
2005: Ranked second among teammates in scoring, accounting for 61 points … hit 31-of-32 extra points and 10-of-19 field goals … converted two field goals against Indiana (9/2) and Eastern Michigan (9/24) … hit a season-long 39-yarder against Indiana seven of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
High School: Two-time all-state selection and four-year starter … part of four state championship teams … finished his career as the nation’s third all-time leading kicker in career points (333) and fourth all-time in field goals made (44) … All-Midwest choice … hit 204-of-213 career extra points and 43-of-67 career field goals … had a long of 58 yards … also lettered in basketball and track and field… National Honor Society member.
