MOUNT PLEASANT - Jahleel Addae has out-performed his own expectations.

Central Michigan's senior defensive back never thought he would develop into one of the Mid-American Conference's top defensive players, especially when he was posting a trio of 1,000-yard rushing seasons as a high school running back.

In 2011, however, Addae earned All-MAC first team honors after tying for the conference lead in interceptions and ranking in the top 10 in tackles.

Now, he enters his senior season as the unquestioned leader of the Chippewas' defense. The CMU Sports Zone caught up with Addae to get his thoughts on his career and the outlook for the CMU defense in 2012. Check out the Spring Football Insider for the full interview.

Spring Game April 14: CMU's spring football game is now less than two weeks away. Kickoff of the spring game is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
