A superb two-sport standout who played five years professionally with the Washington Redskins of the NFL... led CMU to a record of 32-4-1 during his football career... gained 2,775 yards and averaged 7.9 yards per carry... his 51 career touchdowns still rank first in the CMU record book... was twice named Williamson Little All-America (1954, 1956) and twice Associated Press Little All-America Second Team... averaged 21.4 points per meet in college track across four years and was named Central's MVP each season... held five different CMU track marks at one time and twice won the Kansas Relays decathlon... a product of Mount Morris High School.
