Six Chippewas Named Preseason All-MAC by Phil Steele

Davis was a member of Phil Steele's Freshman All-America first team in 2011 after catching 40 passes for a team-high 751 yards and a team leading eight touchdowns. He earned All-MAC third team recognition and was tabbed CMU's Offensive Rookie of the Year. Davis set a CMU freshman record with his eight touchdown catches; the total also tied for the sixth most in a season in CMU history.
Davis also was named to Phil Steele's preseason All-MAC team as the fourth team kickoff returner. He averaged 21.5 yards on 18 returns in 2011.
Addae was an All-MAC first team selection and named CMU's Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. He tied for the conference lead in interceptions (4) and ranked eighth in the MAC in tackles per game (8.9) and ninth in total tackles (107) last season.
Four other CMU seniors earned preseason recognition from Phil Steele. Receiver Cody Wilson and offensive lineman Jake Olson were second team selections, while offensive lineman Eric Fisher and kicker David Harman were named to the third team.
