Kaitlyn McIntyre Named First-Team All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan junior outside hitter Kaitlyn McIntyre was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team, the league office announced Thursday morning.

This marks the second consecutive first-team honor for McIntyre and the third All-MAC honor of her career as she was named to the All-Freshman team in 2011.

McIntyre finished second in the MAC with 3.93 kills per set this season and totaled 389 kills for the ninth best mark in CMU single-season history. Her 26 kills at Northern Illinois on Oct. 5 were the second most in a four set match by player in the MAC this season and her 25 kills at Duquesne were the third most in a four-set match.

The junior was also second during MAC play with 3.91 kills per set and 10th with 0.25 aces per set. She became the 16th player in program history to record 1,000 career kills on Oct. 4 at Western Michigan.
