Chippewas Earn All-Academic Recognition from USTFCCCA

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan's women's cross country program has earned All-Academic recognition from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

CMU was one of 200 institutions representing 30 conferences to earn All-Academic honors.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

The Chippewas boasted a combined 3.35 GPA. They were one of 10 Mid-American teams to win the award. CMU last won this award in the 2011 season.

The women finished fourth at the MAC Championships this past fall, while finishing 14th at the Great Lakes Regional.
