A two-time All-Mid-American Conference basketball player who was named MAC Player of the Year in 1975 after leading CMU to a 22-6 season... led the freshman team to an 11-5 record and earned All-MAC honors the following three seasons... averaged 14.3, 16.5 and 19.0 points per game, respectively, during his career at CMU... grabbed 13.8, 13.7 and 11.7 rebounds per game... as a senior, he shot 61.2 percent from the floor (fourth in the nation) and had 84 blocked shots and 40 steals... was twice CMU MVP... held six Chippewa records, including single-season rebounds (357), career rebounds (1,031) and single-game rebounds (26)... was the No. 1 draft pick of the American Basketball Association's Indiana Pacers in 1975... played with the Pacers until 1977, then spent six years with the Atlanta Hawks and one year with the Detroit Pistons... a three-time NBA All-Star (1980-82)... had his No. 32 retired in 1977 at CMU.
