VanNatta Earns Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Senior Skylar VanNatta was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-West Region Second Team Tuesday morning, the organization announced.

VanNatta’s honor is the first of her career and gives the Central Michigan field hockey program an all-region selection for the second-straight season.

The award adds to an impressive postseason haul that includes first-team All-MAC and MAC All-Tournament honors.

VanNatta was key in leading the CMU defense to the best goals-against average and fewest goals allowed in the Mid-American Conference. The Chippewas allowed just 31 goals during the regular season and a goals-against average of 1.73.

The Hartland, Wis., native started all 19 contests for the Chippewas and helped them reach the MAC title game with an assist in a 3-1 victory over No. 1 seed Kent State in the semifinals.
