Men's Cross Country Close-Out Season at Regional Meet

MADISON, Wis. - The Central Michigan men’s cross country team finished 18th at Friday’s 10k NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.

Sophomore Nate Ghena and junior Ethan Lievense finished in 41th (31:31) and 65th (32:02), respectively to lead the men to a 484-team score.

Freshman Spencer Nousain crossed the finish line in 32:26 to finish 79th overall.

Junior Tanner Pesonen and freshman Casey Voisin finished 147th (33:43) and 152nd (33:57), respectively. Freshman Sean Kelly rounded out the Chippewas’ roster finishing in 173rd in 34:41.

Indiana State’s John Mascari claimed the individual title in the men’s race in 30:05. Michigan took the team title with a score of 48.

The Chippewas now take a well-deserved break before they begin the indoor season with a December 6th visit to Saginaw, Mich.
