MOUNT PLEASANT – Central Michigan junior center Colin Miller (Centreville, Va./Centreville HS) has been named to the Rimington Trophy’s spring watch list.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the top center in college football. The winner will be honored at the Rimington Trophy presentation banquet at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Neb. on Jan. 16, 2010.

Miller, one of just three Mid-American Conference players on the 44-member watch list, is entering his third season as a starter on the Chippewas’ offensive line. He started all 14 games at center as a redshirt freshman on CMU’s 2007 MAC championship team and earned Freshman All-America accolades.

In 2008, Miller started six games at center and three at left guard.

This is the second straight year Miller has appeared on the Rimington Trophy watch list.

CMU opens the 2009 season at Arizona on Sept. 5. The home opener is Sept. 19 against Alcorn State. Season tickets are available by calling 1-888-FIRE-UP2 or by visiting the ticket office online at cmuchippewas.com.
