2003:  Named second team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News … started all 12 games as a redshirt freshman … led the team in tackles for a loss with 14 for 53 yards and tied for the team lead with six QB sacks for minus 37 yards … finished fifth on the team in tackles with 70, including 38 solo … posted a career-high 10 tackles against Ball State (9/20) … registered three tackles for a loss in three games, including Eastern Kentucky (9/13), Eastern Michigan (11/1), and Akron (11/8) … recorded at least one sack in four straight games … had six solo tackles against Eastern Michigan (11/1) and posted three tackles for losses of 17 yards against the Eagles … also credited with breaking up one pass, recovering two fumbles, and forcing another.
