Chippewa Athletic Fund Membership Drive Begins

Mount Pleasant, Mich. - Last year, more than 2,500 donors generously contributed a record-breaking $1.34 million in annual funds in support of CMU student-athletes. Our goal for the 2014-15 membership drive is to increase annual giving to $1.38 million.

The loyal and generous support of Athletic Fund members plays a significant role in giving our student-athletes an edge in practice, in competition and in the classroom. CMU student-athletes have the ability to compete for championships every year because of the commitment of Chippewa Athletic Fund members.

As you commit to the success of our student-athletes, the Chippewa Athletic Fund is committed to providing value-added benefits to its members.

Renewing your membership or Joining the Chippewa Athletic Fund

With the start of this year’s membership drive, we hope to see the resounding support of both current and new members that has allowed our CMU student-athletes maintain a competitive edge on the Mid-American Conference.

As you consider renewing your annual fund support of CMU Athletics or joining for the first time, here are the many ways you can make a difference for our student-athletes and take advantage of some unique benefits.

Become a Chippewa Club Member – This is the most fundamental way to support our student-athletes. Chippewa Club gifts support annual operating budgets and may be directed to a specific sport or to a general athletics account. Gifts to the Chippewa Club help secure a number of great benefits such as priority parking and seating and access to exclusive hospitality areas such as the CAF Touchdown Terrace inside Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Join the 1100 Club – The 1100 Club comprises the inner-circle of CMU Football. Members give at least $1,100 to the Football Championship Fund, which helps to finance some above and beyond initiatives. Members enjoy invitations to exclusive events, receive unique 1100 Club apparel and receive regular, direct communication from Head Coach Dan Enos.

Become a Chippewa Champion – A gift of $500 or more to a sport’s (excluding football) championship fund makes you a Chippewa Champion of that sport. Chippewa Champions receive exclusive audio newsletters, invitations to sport-specific Chippewa Champion events and the all-Champion homecoming event and unique, logoed Chippewa Champion apparel. Our Chippewa Champions programs have grown exponentially since 2011 and are a driving force behind the growth of the Chippewa Athletic Fund.

Establish your 2014-15 membership online and start receiving benefits today! Individuals who renew their CAF memberships or join before June 1, 2014 will secure membership benefits for the 2014-15 athletic seasons.
