The Series
The Chippewas hold a 13-5 advantage over Kalamazoo College dating back to their first meeting in 1912.

Oakland and CMU have met 38 times in program history with the Maroon and Gold holding a 32-6 edge over the Grizzlies following a 7-4 at Theunissen Stadium on April 10.

Earlier this Season
Sophomore Kenton San Miguel picked up his first career win and the Chippewas used a three-run sixth inning to take down Oakland, 7-3. San Miguel pitched 2.1 innings of relief to earn the victory, while sophomore Cody Leichman went 2-for-4 and freshman Logan Regnier drove in a pair of runs.

Scouting the Hornets
Kalamazoo College enters Tuesday's contest with a 10-29 record and is just 6-17 on the road this year. Offensively, Scott Devine leads the way with a .305 batting average 19 RBI, while the team as a whole bats .254 with 4.4 runs per game.

The pitching staff has struggled in 2013, giving up 369 hits in 262 innings of work and posting a ERA of 7.35.

Scouting the Grizzlies
Oakland has won three straight entering the week and seven of their last 10 games, but still has a record below .500 at 14-28 on the season. A product of local Beal City High School, Jared Theisen continues to lead the Grizzlies at the plate with a .259 average, eight doubles and 23 RBI.

The OU pitching staff has a ERA of 4.89 and has given up 375 hits in 345.2 innings this season.

Take a Gamble
Freshman reliever Jason Gamble has continued to impress as of late, tossing 6.2 innings out of the bullpen in two apperances last week that included his second win of the season. Gamble threw 2.1 innings of strong work versus Notre Dame before limiting Kent State to just one hit over 4.1 innings on Sunday to improve to 2-0 on the season. The right hander has appeared in 11 contests and has a ERA of just 1.56 in 17.1 innings of work.

Triple Threat
Freshman Logan Regnier moved into sole possession of fourth place on the CMU single-season chart last Friday with his sixth triple of the season. Regnier is chasing Tyler Hall's program record of 11 triples from the 2011 season.
