MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan looks to end its four game losing skid at Akron. The Zips are off to an 8-0 start in Mid-American Conference.
The Chippewas (9-12, 2-6 MAC) are 13-27 all-time against Akron (17-4, 8-0 MAC) dating back to 1939. The Zips have controlled the series as of late, winning nine of the previous 10 matchups. Central Michigan's most recent victory in Akron was on Feb. 8, 2003, defeating the Zips 99-92.
Senior guard Kyle Randall recorded 20-plus points for the eighth time this season Saturday night against Miami (Ohio). Randall is third in the MAC with 16.9 points per game. Freshman guard Chris Fowler notched seven assists against the RedHawks, bringing him within seven of the program's freshman record of 115.
