
MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan Track and Field teams open up the 2012-13 season tonight at the Eagle Holiday Meet, starting at 4 p.m.
The Chippewas get a chance to gauge themselves in an early-season meet against Bowling Green State University, Oakland University, University of Toledo, and host Eastern Michigan University. Live results will be available here.
Sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers will be the primary competitors for the Chippewas, while some throwers and distance runners will also be sent to compete.
The meet will be held at Bob Parks Track inside Bowen Field House. Field events start at 4 p.m., running events will follow around 6 p.m.
Eastern Michigan is also the host of the 2012-13 MAC Indoor Championship Meet.
This marks the only meet prior to the New Year for the Chippewas, who will return home for the CMU Open Friday, Jan. 11.
