No. 11 Chippewas Return Home to Battle Buffalo

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan returns home Saturday for its final dual of the 2012 calendar year when it takes on Buffalo in Mid-American Conference action at 2 p.m.

The Chippewas (3-2) opened the MAC season with a 23-12 victory over Ohio last Saturday in Athens, Ohio, while the Bulls will be wrestling in their first dual of the season.

All-Time Series
The Chippewas have never lost to the Bulls, posting a 17-0 mark all-time versus their MAC foe. CMU claimed last season's dual in Buffalo, 30-6, and has scored the Bulls over its last six meetings, 183-32.

In the Rankings
CMU moved up one spot to No. 11 in this week's NWCA/USA Today coaches poll and stayed steady at No. 9 in the InterMat Tournament Strength rankings. The InterMat rankings are based on individual weight class rankings, while the NWCA poll is voted on by a nationwide pool of head coaches and based on perceived dual meet strength. CMU vs. The MAC
The Chippewas have won 71 of their last 75 MAC duals dating back to the 1997-98 season. Their current 11-year winning streak at the MAC Championships is the longest streak in conference history and their streak of 10-straight regular season conference titles from 1999-2008 was the second longest in any sport in MAC history.

Roster Depth
The Maroon and Gold showed off its depth in last Saturday's MAC opener as junior 125-pounder Joe Roth and sophomore 133-pounder Tyler Keselring each earned major decisions. The Chippewas' roster features individuals ranked in the top 12 of each weight class in No. 12 Christian Cullinan (125) and No. 2 Scotti Sentes (133).

100-Win Club
CMU's trio of standout seniors - Bennett, Sentes and Trice - are each approaching the 100-win mark. Bennett is the closest with 95 career wins, Sentes has recorded 89 victories and Trice has seen his hand raised 83 times.
