MOUNT PLEASANT - Matt Trowbridge of the baseball program has named this week's Members First Credit Union Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Trowbridge worked 2.2 scoreless innings in the second game of a doubleheader Sunday to close the door on Toledo and help Central Michigan earn a 2-1 victory over the Rockets. The save was Trowbridge's eighth of the season, moving him into sole possession of third place in the CMU single seaosn record book. 

A native of Mokena, Ill., Trobwbridge has earned a 3.97 grade point average as an accounting major. 

This marks the final Members First Credit Union Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the 2012-13 academic year.
