Four-time Mid-American Conference Cross Country Coach of the Year … spent 19 seasons as CMU’s head men’s cross country coach and one season as the women’s coach … was an assistant track coach for over 20 years, spending one season as the head coach … led the Chippewas to MAC cross country titles in 1999, 2002, 2003 and 2004, while being named MAC Coach of the Year each of those seasons … also earned Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors in 2002 … helped the Chippewas to three outdoor MAC track titles and one indoor championship … guided the 2002 cross country team to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, the best in school history … CMU also placed 18th at nationals in 2003, 20th in 1998 and 23rd in 2004 … six Chippewas earned All-America honors in cross country under him, including two-time honoree Richie Brinker … coached four MAC individual cross country champions … guided four distance runners to All-America honors on the track and numerous MAC champions, including two-time MAC Most Outstanding Performer Jeff Powers and MAC Most Valuable Performers Dave Ernsberger and Ryan Watson … earned six letters as a student-athlete at CMU … All-MAC in cross country in 1978 and track in 1979 … qualified for the 1984 U.S. Olympic Trials in the marathon and competed nationally in the steeplechase …  a Mount Pleasant native, Fuller currently lives in Manistee, Mich., where he is coaching track at Manistee High School, along with middle school cross country … his family includes wife, Marian, and children Annie, Jody, Craig Jr. and Curtis.
