Women's Basketball Championship Fund

The success of the women’s basketball program in the past few seasons is a direct result of the generous support of our Chippewa Club and Championship Fund Accounts. For this I would like to thank our former letter winners, parents, fans and friends for their commitment to our program.

Our program looks to continually develop our student-athletes and improve each day as we focus on our goal of the MAC Championship. Our student-athletes and coaching staff are committed making that goal a reality this season. For us to achieve this goal, we must expand the financial resources available to our program, and we need your help.

The Championship Fund objectives outlined below are specific to our championship needs and if fulfilled will aid in our quest of bringing a MAC Championship Title to CMU!  Please take a moment to review the materials and consider contributing to our Championship Culture. Our team appreciates your support, and we look forward to bringing you another exciting season of women’s basketball.

Technology Upgrades

In order for our team to succeed at the highest level on the court, we need to operate at a comparable level off the court. Just as technology continues to move at a maddening pace in our daily lives, the same goes for basketball technology.

By providing our team the latest in computer technology, you will ensure the Chippewas are as well prepared as any team in the country when it comes time for tip-off. This technology is useless, however, unless we allow our players and staff to use it with the right equipment and enough of that equipment.

Our coaches need televisions in their offices to utilize individual time for detailed scrutinizing of recruits, players and potential opponents. We’d also like to open up these opportunities for individual, personal evaluation for our players as well. By providing them laptops for road trips and in the locker room, you help ensure that our players are making maximum strides in their off-court development.

One-Time Cost: $3,500

Software

The FAST Model Statistical Software allows our coaching staff to run statistical analysis on the team’s efficiency on offense and defense.  The statistics generated by the program are crucial for special situations and half time as we are able to measure the effectiveness of multiple lineups and play selections. From the data, our coaching staff is able to identify the most important coaching areas of focus.  The continued use of this software is crucial to our team’s success.

Annual Cost: $1,500
