MOUNT PLEASANT — After claiming her third individual Mid-American Conference championship two weeks ago, senior
Erika Schroll will represent the Maroon and Gold on the national stage when she competes in the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., this weekend.
The meet will take place on Friday and Saturday with Schroll slated to compete on Friday at 2:45 p.m.
Schroll, who is tied for ninth in the nation in the high jump with a school-record height of 6-0 1/2, is vying to become the school’s sixth female All-American and the first since Tamera Thomas in 2006.
“Erika has been very consistent all year long and it is exciting to see her get her reward,” head coach
Willie Randolph said. “It’s humbling to know someone from our school is there saying that we’re one of the best in the country and creating a championship culture within our program.”
