MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University will be hosting Military Appreciation Night in conjunction with next Wednesday's football game against Toledo.

Current military members and veterans will be admitted to the game for free with a valid military identification card. Family members of military members or veterans will be admitted for $10, more than half off the regular ticket price.

Military members and their families should visit the ticket booth at the northeast corner of Kelly/Shorts Stadium on game day to purchase the discounted tickets.

The game ball will be presented to officials by a team of skydivers that will parachute into the stadium just prior to kickoff. A United States Army swearing-in ceremony at halftime will take place in conjunction with a special patriotic presentation from the Marching Chippewas.

Two other special promotions are scheduled for Nov. 11. The first 5,000 students through the gates will receive thundersticks courtesy of Jimmy John's, and youth Rocket football teams from across the state will attend the game as guests of the CMU football program.

Kickoff of next Wednesday's game is set for 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at cmuchippewas.com, in person at the CMU Athletic Ticket Office in Rose Center or by calling 1-888-FIRE-UP2.
