Tony Pape was as a graduate assistant at CMU for the 2009 season. He worked primarily with the offensive line.

A 2003 graduate of Michigan, Pape was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He was allocated to the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe, where he was elected a team captain, started 11 games on the offensive line and earned all-league first team accolades while helping lead the Thunder to the 2005 World Bowl. Pape also played one season for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe.

Pape was a three-year starter at Michigan, earning Associated Press All-America second team honors as a senior. He was a two-time All-Big Ten first team honoree and twice earned the Hugh Radar Award, presented to the top lineman at Michigan. Pape was a part of two Michigan teams that won Big Ten
championships and five that competed in bowl games.
