A two-sport standout who had the distinction of playing center in both football and basketball... competed from 1953-56 for CMU... was a three-time Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference all-league selection, from 1953-55, and was CMU's MVP in 1954... led the Chippewa cagers in scoring in 1955 with a 19.0 average and was second in 1954 and 1956... was the first CMU player to score 1,000 career points and finished with 1,048... was a second-team All-America selection in 1953 and became CMU's first known draftee in 1956 when the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the 20th round... also made CMU's all-time football team in 1969... a product of Saginaw Arthur Hill.
