Central Michigan's first professional athlete, playing both baseball and basketball at the play-for-pay level... served three years as basketball captain and two years as baseball captain at CMU... led the baseball team twice in hitting... tossed two two-hitters and a one-hitter in 1921... led the basketball team to 45 and just 18 losses from 1918-22... played one year of football... played baseball professionally for Kalamazoo in the Central League where he twice led the loop in batting... played for the Denver Tigers as a basketball pro... served as superintendent of Mount Pleasant schools from 1948-63... a product of Midland High School.
