Kaitlyn McIntyre Earns Academic All-MAC Honors

Mount Pleasant, Mich. - Junior outside hitter Kaitlyn McIntyre was named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team Friday, the league office announced. 

McIntyre has earned a 3.88 grade point average as an exercise science major. She was also named Academic All-MAC following her sophomore year. 

The junior finished second in the MAC with 3.93 kills per set this season and totaled 389 kills for the ninth best mark in CMU single-season history. Her 26 kills at Northern Illinois on Oct. 5 were the second most in a four set match by player in the MAC this season and her 25 kills at Duquesne were the third most in a four-set match.

She was also second during MAC play with 3.91 kills per set and 10th with 0.25 aces per set. She became the 16th player in program history to record 1,000 career kills on Oct. 4 at Western Michigan.
