including the Associated Press, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association

• Four years of Division I head coaching experience (74-55, .574)
• Has taken two teams to postseason play (2008 Drake/NCAA, 2009 Providence/NIT)
• Led the Drake Bulldogs to a 28-5 mark in his first season as head coach, which included a 15-3 record in the Missouri Valley Conference, an eight-week run in the top-25 polls, the program's first MVC regular season title since 1971 and its first ever MVC Tournament title
• Combined with his father, Dr. Tom Davis, the pair's 671 coaching victories rank 11th among all-time father-son combinations
• Established a Providence record for most wins by a first-year head coach (19)
• Defeated two top-10 teams in 2009, including No. 1 Pittsburgh
