Coaching Highlights

• Won the Victory Cannon Trophy and the Michigan MAC Trophy with a 2010 victory over Western Michigan on ESPNU

• Became the first head coach since Herb Deromedi to win his debut, opening the 2010 season with a 33-0 win

• Handed eventual 2011 MAC champion Northern Illinois its only loss of the conference season

• Led CMU to its fifth bowl appearance in the last seven years, defeating Western Kentucky, 24-21, in the 2012 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.

• All-American offensive tackle Eric Fisher made program and MAC history when he was selected No. 1 overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2013 NFL Draft.

• 19 All-MAC honorees

• 12 Academic All-MAC selections

• 5 Academic All-District honorees

• 3 Academic All-Americans

• A former Michigan State starting quarterback

• Has tutored record-setting quarterbacks at each of his programs
