Raina Harmon returns home to CMU after spending the 2011-12 season as director of basketball operations for Michigan. Harmon was a four-year letterwinner at CMU (2001-04), receiving the 2003 Dee Pommerenk Sportsmanship Award. In addition to her on-the-court success, Harmon was the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during the 2003-04 academic year.

Harmon's primary responsibilities at CMU will be player development, community relations and scouting.

Prior to accepting the position at Michigan, Harmon spent five years with the Think Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL). While there, she managed a budget of $450,000 and coordinated the logistics for nearly 12,000 participants within the 11 leagues the organization sponsored.

In addition to her service work with Think Detroit PAL, Harmon was an assistant basketball coach at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Detroit (2009-10). She has also been the head coach of the Michigan Crossover AAU team.

Harmon earned a bachelor of applied arts in sports studies and marketing from CMU in 2004. She received her master's degree in sports administration from Wayne State in 2009.
