Andrew Wodrich enters his second season after helping the Chippewas earn their first Mid-American Conference Tournament title since 1984 and an appearance in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Wodrich spent the previous two seasons at Western Michigan under former head coach Tasha McDowell. During the 2010-11 season he was the director of operations before earning a spot as an assistant last season.

Wodrich's primary responsibilities at CMU will include player development, community relations and scouting. He will also work primarily with the perimeter players.

Before finding a home in the Mid-American Conference, Wodrich spent six seasons working for the Midwest Basketball Academy in Mishawaka, Ind., serving as the Vice President and Director of the Indiana Elite Girl's Basketball Program his last three years.

While with the Midwest Academy, Wodrich effectively managed and coached the nationally known Elite Basketball team. He won a state championship in 2008 and claimed runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2009. During his tenure he coached 10 of his student-athletes on to Division I basketball.

Wodrich has lasting ties to the Chippewa community, being a guest speaker and camp counselor during Chippewa basketball camps.

Wodrich earned his bachelor of arts degree in physical education from Bethel College in 2007. He played two seasons for the Pilots' men's basketball team, from 2004-06.
