In her second season, Alexander coached an outfield that featured NFCA All-Regional and First Team All-MAC selection Macy Merchant. She also assisted catcher Cory DeLamielleure, who was named second team All-MAC and threw out 14 runners attempting to steal. 

In Alexander's first season at CMU she coached an outfield that had a 0.982 fielding percentage. She also coached Cory DeLamielleure and Rachael Hensel, who split time behind the plate and between the two threw out 19 attempted stolen bases.

Alexander joined the staff after receiving her degree from Purdue. While being a student assistant coach she primarily worked with the pitchers and catchers. Before taking on coaching she was a four-year starter for the Boilermakers. In 2009 she was named third team All-Big Ten.

In 2008 and 2011 Alexander was an assistant coach for the California Breeze 18 Gold ASA travel ball team.
