A native of Bridgeport, Beeckman brought more than 10 years of collegiate volleyball coaching experience to Central Michigan, helping propel the Chippewas to their first MAC Tournament Championship in program history in 2011.

Prior to joining the Chippewas, Beeckman was the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Ferris State for six years and the head coach at Delta College the four years prior to her time with the Bulldogs.

Beeckman serves as the offensive coordinator, responsible for setter training, recruiting and team travel.

Since joining the Chippewas, Beeckman's has helped Kelly Maxwell become one of the best setters in the country. Maxwell led the Mid-American Conference in assists and ranked 11th in the country during the 2012 season to earn All-MAC honors, a year after ranking second in the MAC in total assists and being named to the MAC All-Tournament team. 

Beeckman also brings experience coaching at the prep level, having served as head volleyball coach at Hemlock (Mich.) High School from 2003-05 and Saginaw (Mich.) Nouvel Catholic Central High School from 1995-2001. Her other coaching stops include two seasons (1999-2000) as the head softball coach at her alma mater, Bridgeport (Mich.) High School, and two seasons (2001, 2004) as an assistant softball coach at Delta College.

A four-year starting catcher and two-time all-conference honoree on the softball team, Beeckman graduated from Saginaw Valley State with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is a published author and veteran presenter who has spoken at various events across the country, including most recently at the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association's (MIVCA) Pre-Season Clinic in Battle Creek, MI. Beeckman is also a 2008 NCAA Women's Coaches Academy Graduate. She resides in Big Rapids, MI.
