The Rose Rowdies will be in full force for Sunday's basketball doubleheader. The Chippewas open up the exhibiiton season, with women's basketball vs. SVSU at 2 p.m., followed by men's basketball vs. Marygrove at 4:30 p.m.

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The 2009-10 Central Michigan basketball preseason schedule kicks off on Sunday, when the men's and women's basketball teams host an exhibition doubleheader at Rose Center.

Head coach Sue Guevara and the women's basketball team will host Saginaw Valley State at 2 p.m., and 30 minutes following (approx. 4:30 p.m.) head coach Ernie Zeigler and the defending co-2009 Mid-American Conference West Division champion men's basketball team will host Marygrove.

Tickets are available by calling 1-888-FIREUP-2. There will be live stats and live video available for both games, courtesy of cmuchippewas.com.

The exhibition will be the only preview of the season for the women's basketball program prior to the opener on the road against DePaul on Nov. 13.

The men's basketball team will have one more exhibition game, against IU-South Bend, on Nov. 7 at Rose Center. Tipoff for that contest is set for noon.
