MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Gold squad continued its dominance of the Central Michigan baseball Fall World Series Classic, picking up a 9-6 win over Maroon on Sunday.
Rick Dodridge didn't allow an earned run in five innings, giving up two hits but walked six with three strikeouts. He did allow three unearned runs.
Offensively, Gold got three hits from
Brendan Emmett and two each from
Tyler Kipke and
Sam Russell. Emmett and Russel each added two steals on the base paths. Russell also had two RBI.
Trent Howard picked up the win in relief, working 1.1 innings.
The finale of the series will be held on Tuesday at 2:45 p.m.
